I think you're right. I have a service manual and will check tonight to see if it's the same. I've seen some comments that the governor rod is on the other side of the engine bay. I'm going to need the nylon bushings as well. How much would you want for the rod?

In the meantime if you're handy, drill a small hole and run a paperclip through it. That will keep it in. :)

That's a great suggestion and I'd give it a try but the end of the rod that broke off is too short. It doesn't extend past the bracket. I did a Rube Goldberg fix with electrical tape that works for short jaunts, but I don't want to count on that. Based on the noise the cart made when I floored it, I don't want to drive it until it's fixed.
