I have 1993 EZ GO gas golf cart. Why won't my new fuel pump pick up gas from tank?

You have a small air hole in the line from tank to pump. Replace it. I had a Gator to do the same thing.

Check the pick-up tube in the tank,It may be damaged,or broken,causing it not to lift fuel.I had a tank that wouldn't run under 1/4-tank,the pickup was too short and didn't reach the bottom of the tank.A quick way to check this is fill the tank.Does the pump have vacuum from the motor?Remove the pulse-line,crank the engine,and see if you can feel it sucking.Hope this helps.
