2003 Club Car DS
I have a 2003 DS Gas. The motor recently filled up with fuel. I would go to try to start it and it was like hitting a wall. I realized the head was full of fuel. Took out the spark plug and spun the motor over to get the fuel out....VUMPFFFFFF...>FIRE!!!!
Able to get the fire out and have fixed all the charred wires. Now when I go to try to start it......30# of compression. Any suggestions???? THanks, Stephen |

Re: 2003 Club Car DS
My 94 recently had gas mixed with all the oil. I thought it was toasted, with a cracked head or something. I couldn't really afford a new motor or rebuild, but I called a local dealer to find out how much I should be saving up. "Oh man", he said, "not really a big deal. You just got a hole in the diaphragm of the fuel pump".
Got a new fuel pump and tune up kit. Drained the oil/gas and did a tune up. Turned out it's just that ethanol crap that's in the gas now. It eats up older rubber and gaskets. Now I use a gas additive to fix that problem. The dealer saved me. |
