So is this allowing you guys to change the typical rxv issues from a stop?

Steve.
Perhaps you could post a link to the USB-Serial cable you bought in the U.S. .. I know it was faulty but they're really cheap and you appear to have just been unlucky...

It is by far the easiest solution with the OLDER software ...

The NEW 1314 is a P.I.T.A ... Curtis uses an FTDI ( chip ) cable that they have programmed with their own VID and PID (vendor/product ID).

I have reprogrammed one of my FTDI based leads .. but so far I can only manage USER level Access.

Guys, what is going on here?

So many pages added since my last visit.....
I still see people struggling to get their interfaces going, also people pulling their leads apart to discover a 7414 inverting schmitt trigger, so I was not far off with my 7404 :-)

So I understand there is a new 1314? I curious what it looks like. Maybe it supports usb directly? If one can still use com ports, one should expect it to behave the same as via USB, but maybe some functions of the software are "locked" to the usb cable.

Regards,

Edwin

Hi guys. Tried to search for curtis software, but all the torrents are not active any more. Would you mind send me working curtis software to disfated[at]gmail.com. Thanks!

Edwin many thanks for visiting,

I must thank you for originally setting me on this path of interface communications..not only for Curtis controllers but also for Penny and Giles.

The latest 1314 is I believe ver 4.5 ...and yes the program wants a genuine USB Curtis 1309.

A little more digging and it seems that the level of access in the NEW 1314 Software..
USER
SERVICE
DEALER
OEM
FACTORY
or DEVELOPER
...is coded into the 1309 USB interface.

Quote:
Only 1309 USB is supported anymore
- Added: Maximum access level protection saved in 1309 USB interface
