Default VC460 Cam Replacement

I contacted NR Racing and they suggested the 280-0411 cam.https://www.nrracing.com/product-p/390cam-280.htm When I talked to the shop that is going to install it, they were concerned about what the 460 had for compression. They thought with that cam at 9:1 I would have to use VP racing fuel. They suggested using the same cam grind that the motor came with. I looked through all the paper work that I got from Vegas Carts and there wasn't a cam card or any information about the cam. Does anyone here know what the cam grind is and what the compression the motor has? Vegas Carts support says they have none of that information when I contacted them

The gen 3 VC 460 came with the "torque cam" which is identical to the "twister" cam later sold by NRracing.

After searching I found this on some other posts. I think it is what I need to know to get a close to original cam.
Re: VC VRX460 OEM Cam Specs
The original torque cam specs are --- 260 lift 246 duration and 110 LSA

NR sells it now as the 250 Twister with the same specs.

Our cams are cut on a close base circle to the stock cam so the compression release is still functional.
246 Duration, .260" Lift, 110 LSA
This cam produces power from 1800-5000rpm and gives a drastic improvement throughout the entire RPM range. Recommended for Golf Carts, Mud Motors, Short Track Go-Karts, Marine and Pulling/Towing applications where a broad powerband is a needed and loss of low end is unacceptable.
This cam is easy on the valvetrain and will not "beat up" your valves or lifters. Originally designed as a "cheater" cam , its great for those who are running in a go-kart class which requires stock valve lift.
Add 1.3:1 rockers for some additional top-end kick!

I still can't find what the compession ratio is.

I don't really see NR's reasoning as many of us use the torque cam with the 1.3 ratio rocker arms that would end up with similar specs to the 280 series cam with the stock ratio rocker arms with a slightly different duration. I thought the gen 3 with the zero deck flat top piston and stock clone head ended up at a 9:1 compression ratio. Shepard and I did quite a bit with NR when Russell Thompson owned it and later with Tim when Russel sold out. Alas Tim passed later and I don't know presently who runs NR.

Well I ordered the 250 Twister cam (https://www.nrracing.com/product-p/390cam-250-tw.htm) and a new carb (https://www.nrracing.com/product-p/16100-z1c-24mm.htm) for my VC460 from NR Racing. From what I found here, with a lot of help from raydhd, that cam is exactly what Vegas Carts used. Vegas Carts is not much help anymore since they stopped selling motors. Now to find Youtube videos on replacing the cam. It's been 30 years since I did any motor work and that was on a 500 Caddy motor.

There is the DIY assembly guide to the VC 460 in the archived file area of their site. Step by step on putting a VC 460 together.

The new cam came today. I measured the exhaust lobe and it was 1 33/128". The lobe on the old cam measured in at 1 25/128. Also the compression release that sits next to the exhaust lobe looked like it had been worn down a little. My gaskets didn't get shipped with my other parts and won't be here until tomorrow.

All 3 of my cams the compression releases looks like that. I think they take the sharp edge off it.
