ALLTRAX XCT500 36v Battery Under Voltage error code
So I just installed a New Alltrax XCT500 in my 2004 EZGO 36v and I'm recieving an error code of Battery Under Voltage Error.
My batteries are not brand new but nor are they that old. * I Tested each battery individually and the lowest battery is 6.91 volts, and they average 6.94 volts. * I Tested the combined pack of batteries and there is 38.1 volts going to the Solenoid. Why am I getting this CODE? any help would be greatly appreciated.... |

I suggest calling the Alltrax technical support line.
They should be able to give you the right advice for your problem. |

It may have been setup for 48v, check the "Under Voltage" value using the Alltrax Controller software.

Re: ALLTRAX XCT500 36v Battery Under Voltage error code
Okay so I was able to find out that I may have a programming issue!
So after connecting to a laptop I found that when they programmed it they set the controller as if it was apparently going to be hooked to 48v because the under voltage was set too high for a 36v cart. I have now set it to 28 volts as I was told I should do and the cart now moves and drives but is very slow (maybe 5 mph). I'm guessing I've got other perimeters that are incorrect as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated. info on my setup: 2004 pds txt 36 volt altrax 500 controller d&d motor systems Model #ES-9B-50 motor tires are 22 inches tall |

Re: ALLTRAX XCT500 36v Battery Under Voltage error code
thats what it was. they programmed it incorrectly. I reduced it to 28v and it now moves but very slowly guessing there are other programming issues as well... its a 2004 pds lifted on 22 inch tall tires. 36v with d&d motor # ES-9B-50.
Now to figure out what all my other settings should be |

Re: ALLTRAX XCT500 36v Battery Under Voltage error code
The next important setting is the correct Motor Field map for the d&d Model #ES-9B-50 Motor.
You can send an email to Alltrax and they will email You the correct file to install. |

Re: ALLTRAX XCT500 36v Battery Under Voltage error code
Possibly rpm sensor not functioning, so controller defaults to "this ought to be safe". You could verify this by watching motor rpm on the monitor tab, or temporarily disabling max rpm limiting, causing the controller to ignore missing rpm sensor. If you find this to be true, I suggest fixing the rpm sensor, the controller works better with it functioning.

Re: ALLTRAX XCT500 36v Battery Under Voltage error code
I think this is my customer, He has the correct map - I checked with Alltrax before programming. Sorry to hear he is running on 36v. I seriously thought it was on 48v. If the old controller was a DCX as I suspect, then yeah, there is no speed sensor connection as of yet. Owner can disable limit rpms in the controller settings and enjoy unbridled speed at his own risk as he did with the old DCX control.
Personally I would pick up a motor wire harness and tap into all the other stuff the new XCT can do. |

Re: ALLTRAX XCT500 36v Battery Under Voltage error code
scottyb it is me :)
Just trying to get this thing figured out. So I can imagine it is hard to keep track of all the messages you probably receive from various people straight as it’s even been hard on my end as well. I hate email threads. As for the cart I did lower the (under voltage to your recommended amount) and the cart now moves but very slowly. So what do you mean by pick up a motor wire harness? And also if this cart doesn’t have a speed sensor and requires me to remove the rpm limits to go faster than a crawl does that mean the FN- key won’t work? |
