Default Golf cart won't move forward.

Hello everybody.
I have a 2016 Club car villager IQ plus system. I'm having issue attempting to drive forward. The cartwheel reverse no issue at all. However, when I put it in forward and start to drive, it stops almost instantly. When I start going and it stops, I do hear about 2 or 3 clicks. Once I release the gas pedal and press it again, it repeats the issue.

any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I believe that cart use the 2nd solenoid with the coil on it. I call them a reversing solenoid but i am sure there is a more appropriate name for them. had trouble with these before,
Bypass the solenoid to test, put both big wire (WHITE) on the same post, you should be fast in both forward or reverse. If that fix it, than decide if you want to stay OEM or leave it be.
I could be wrong

The first thing to check is always the batteries. Do you have a multimeter so you can check the battery pack voltage while you try to drive?

I just went back out to look at the cart. As I got to it, I noticed the yellowbattery light on the dash is on. However, the cart shows half charged. So, I'll start with the batteries first.

I towed the cart back to the shop. Topped off the batteries (8 total) with water. I was able to drive forward for about a hundred yards. Then it started acting up again while attempting to drive forward. I had to drive in reverse all the way back to the shop.

Did you put it in tow when you towed it? That’s very important.

So, I got it on the lift at the shop. Tested the battery nothing seems out of place wrong. However, when I have the cart lifted and the gas pedal pressed, the golf cart constantly runs. Is there something that would cause my issue only one load was put on the tires? For example, driving down the street.

If you have no issues at all as you say going in reverse, but won't go forward, batteries are not the problem.

Yes, I can reverse unlimited. However, once I switch it to forward I only get a couple feet. Unless it is on a lift. Then it'll go in forward as long as I wanted to.
