Default Solenoid question

97 Club Car DS, 48v. Still trouble shooting a loss of power. I had the Vglide potentiometer out, and it checks out fine. Upon reinstalling I'm not getting a solenoid click anymore. But, I'm reading pack voltage on both sides of it (with the key on and in F). I would not expect that. Does this mean it's likely bad?

If so, this might be a problem I've been having but I've previously heard the click.
I checked the microswitch function inside the V-glide and it's working.

I appreciate any help.

Pack voltage on both sides when you press the pedal means the switch is good.
Pack voltage on both sides with the pedal UP could be a problem.

Is this a series cart or Regen?
Series has a big Lever for FnR.
Regen will have a rocker switch and maybe a Tow/Run switch if it's an early Regen 2.

Are you referring to the small solenoid coil terminals or the large main terminals?

There may be a resistor on the large terminals which will read voltage on both sides with it open.

Or are you reading voltage across the small terminals with no throttle input?

It's a series system with the lever FNR.

And this is with throttle input. I'm seeing pack voltage on both main terminals (which dissipates when throttle input removed) but I'm not getting the typical "click" of the solenoid moving.
I was until recently. But, I've been fighting this issue with the cart stopping or not going well (jerky) that I have not resolved. I had thought it was the V-glide but now I'm thinking I have a flaky solenoid.
For lack of a better plan, I have ordered a new solenoid to try it out.....

Thanks for replying guys.
