beef up the suspension in the rear?
Hey guys I’ve been lurking in the shadows and finally decided to post a question.
I have an 1980 or so CC that had one of the leave springs break in the front so I took a leaf spring from a old snowmobile I have and replaced it. That worked great except the front is now 2-3” higher then the back. Is there a way I can beef up the suspension in the rear? Thanks! |

Re: beef up the suspension in the rear?
Is your cart lifted? You could go to the HD rear leaf for club car in the rear (4 leaf setup) and / or go with a longer rear shackle. I would reccommend the HD rear leafs, FIRST. Then if you need additional height, get some longer rear shackles (just don't make them too long).

Re: beef up the suspension in the rear?
Not lifted. I was told my CC was to old to put to much $ into. So I just want to keep it going until I get a newer one and put my time and $ into that one. I think I will keep it for a back up though.

Shackles must be what the L-springs bolt into?
I looked at HD springs I'm not sure I want to put $52 ea into it at ths point if I don't have to. Maybe a combo of longer shackles and air shocks? Anyone know what air shocks will fit? |

Re: beef up the suspension in the rear?
Here we go again! Just do it right the first time. Buy the correct springs and get the correct shackles. This the the advice that should be given in a forum. We offer discounts for BGW members. Call our shop...

Just looking for other ideas. Of course I can buy new parts but I’m not sure I need to hang a chandelier in the s*** house just yet.

Not my point - I'm just saying why don't you do it correct the first time?
