I made some out of nylon round stock, if you have access to a lathe, if not try pvc pipe, I think 3/4 in, it's pretty close.

Do you have power on your read out pannel, if it's blinking then the DC converter board could be the problem, it needs 12 volts to activate the contractor, check the 4 prong plug that plugs into the panel on the charger.
Bombardier Carts should travel about 35 miles with new batteries.

I do have lights on the panel. Iwill check out the plug also. They are not blinking at this time. Also I do not find the DC Converter on the schematics. Is it part of the charger or do I need to look firther under the dash? I currently have the dash out so as I can check wiring.

Thank You for your response and suggestions.

I have a 1999 Bomb, Street legal and licensed in Ohio, and insured. It has been my summer fun car for last several years its a hoot in the neighborhood.Excellent condition, rather new batteries, (batteries under the seats) with all paperwork and shop manual. Would sell it for a fair offer. Charles

How's it going with the 40mpg thing? Anybody got a practical fix? Even 10mph would help.

I'm assuming you meant MPH not MPG.
After re-programming three of the Bombs in out community with the rented programmer they will all do 34-35 mph with batteries fully charged. Feels like a huge difference from the drivers seat.
I have 12 inch wheels with skinny tires on mine that I put close to 40 lbs of air in to further decrease the contact patch and lower the rolling resitance. I can actually slide it around a little bit. Lots more fun.

Sorry; I ment miles per hour, not miles per gallon. I sure don't want to defeat the odometer/speedometer capabilites. 40mph. would be nice.

Am I to understand that the factory programmer will make these things go fourty miles per hour, but the one you can rent (Curtis) will only go to thirty five?.

I don't know of any programmer other than the one we rented. Don't think anything will take it above what the factory set it up for. I'm thinking 35 is all you can get and maybe that's OK for the longevity of the motor and other parts. 35 feels pretty good.
