Re: 2002 PDS SRT-8 Build
Well, I have just run into the biggest snag so far and I am super pissed. You know the old saying, "everything happens for a reason"???
Well me putting my brakes on top just to be different and look cool, now has turned out to be for a reason. The mechanical disk brakes will/do NOT work with a dropped cart, if installed the proper way. They hit the drop blocks and leaf springs So, in summary if you are wanting to install these brakes to a lowered cart or have these brakes and want to lower your cart, you have 3 options. 1. The "Colton" way, on top. 2. Go hydraulic brakes(what I should have done). 3. Keep your crappy drums. Damm, now I am going to have to come up with a way to re-route the passenger cable where it exerts the same amount of pressure as the driver. Ughhhhhhh...... Man after I had painted my hubs, brackets and rotors and installed them, I get the "BAD" news Well, looks like it's coming back off to get flipped around AGAIN. I do not even feel like posting pictures. |

Re: 2002 PDS SRT-8 Build
Get a drop bracket for your cables, it may give them enough slack to operate correctly. I had to put one on my cart because its lifted so high and the cables were too tight
