Re: A better way to 48V?
the specifics are the timing mechanisms.... batteries are batteries, but club cars chargers are timed by a computer on the car.... EZGO uses timers inside their chargers.....
You may also be able to pick up a charger that was originally designed for a 48v floor scrubber... or something of that nature... |

Re: A better way to 48V?
I found a 25 amp charger used for less than 200 but shipping was about 40+, it is not a cart charger but is manufactured by the same company as some cart chargers. You can buy the ends from a cart parts supplier or look around locally, I found that prices locally were higher than parts supplier with shipping. Good luck Greg

Re: A better way to 48V?
local companies have to pay for the roof over their head, people working there, and face to face service.... also the money stays in your local community.. unless there is a big price difference I always shop locally...

Re: A better way to 48V?
I try to shop locally and I did buy some things from them, the charger ends they had were 12.50 ea. I thought that was a little high.

That link follows suit with most of BU's stuff... IT DOESN'T WORK!

Re: A better way to 48V?
Well then, their part number is CHG EZ1 048, and it is $450. I cannot verify it's suitability as I have not used it.

Re: A better way to 48V?
don't buy a charger with BU brand on it....
stick with lester chargers, or ez-go brand stuff... it will pay off in the long run... are parts available for the BU charger or do you buy a new charger?? who repairs BU's chargers? I don't who stocks parts for their chargers?? i won't, nor will i buy from a competitor... Quote:

Re: A better way to 48V?
Opinions are like, well anyway here's my unsolicited $.02.
The QuiQ charger by Delta-Q is IMO the best bang for the buck. Pricey yes, but worth the $$$. On board, smart processing, maintainer, etc. etc. Click here! |

Re: A better way to 48V?
pggroves.. can you get parts for the delta-q chargers yet? I was just wondering if you have to replace the entire charger when one part goes out..
