ez go speed control problem
Hello, I have an older 90-92 ez-go electric cart. As soon as I engage the forward or reverse, the cart activates without stepping on the pedal. Any ideas?

Re: ez go speed control problem
There are a few safeties that have to fail for that to happen... There should be a safety micro-switch on the F&R lever and another on the Potentiometer. that triggers the solenoid activation circuit.... my guess is a couple of micro switches and a solenoid is what you need? You can test all those thinkgs with the digital voltmeter if you have one?

Thanks, I tapped on the soleloid with a hammer and it is working fine. I noticed the resistors a bit warm, is that normal?

You need a new solenoid.
