Yamaha Secondary Clutch Issue
Hi all. I am working on my neighbors Yamaha, I think its a G1 or G2. I personally have a club car and my secondary comes off in one piece. I took the clutch off the yamaha and it came off in 3 pieces plus the spring. First of all is this normal? Second, is the spring supposed to have little tabs to hold it in the holes on the ramp and shive? and Third, how does it all go back together? I really would appreciate some help because I want to get this thing out of my garage.

2. Spring should have flat ends 3. In this order: spring, spring seat w/ramps, sliding inner sheave, fixed outer sheave (assuming it's all stock) Make sure you get that keyway in straight, and don't force the nut on, clean the threads and spin on nicely, then snug up. It helps to have a buddy to compress the sliding sheave while you mount the fixed sheave and tighten the nut. |

Re: Yamaha Secondary Clutch Issue
Thank you so much for the quick response and for the help. I am just used to working on snow mobile clutches where the springs have tabs and eveything comes off in one piece.
