And I believe just an EZGO engine.

958729. I think this is it. The cart is at our RV storage in our toy hauler. This is the number on our vehicle registration.

Re: Choke needs to be 3/4 way out to run.
Interesting! Could this cart had started out as an electric and some one installed a gas engine? It is a street legal cart in CA which is very hard to get now. This one seemed grandfathered in. It has CA liscence plates and I pay registration every year. What are the type of request I could ask my mechanic to do/test on this cart assuming it's a 13 hp 1996 EZGO engine? Thanks and sorry I can't give more info.

Re: Choke needs to be 3/4 way out to run.
If it's a twin cylinder robin I'd tell him to set valve lash at .004" and clean carb and a basic tune up air filter fuel filter and spark plugs and go from there if it's a Kawasaki do everything mentioned minus the valve lash

We are still interested in what you actually have there lol. Does it have one spark plug or two. Just to put our minds at rest if nothing else.

Not familiar with EZ-GO carbs, but a couple thoughts: Check the idle/low speed jet(s) (if so equipped) to make sure they are clear. Also, stale/sour/ crappy fuel could cause this.
