Backfire problem
Just rebuilt top end on 84 ezgo Robin 25ec. Back story is it was running and started to backfire before it suddenly stopped running. Piston ring and cylinder were scared pretty bad.
After rebuilt starts and runs, but still has backfire. Any help?? |

Re: Backfire problem
It took me a minute to find the thread with my pictures. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-e...djustment.html
You need a spring slid over the throttle cable. It prevents backfiring by making sure the fuel plate is completely closed before introducing spark. Right now you let off the gas, but the plate is not fully closed. It allows the engine to load with fuel. Step on the pedal for spark, and bam. Backfire. A backfire will blow your seals out. |
