Unhappy What did I break off my card? OH SHHH.. Moment

Hi all.

So what is this little plastic and metal piece I broke off the top of my carb?

I believe it is the idle mix adjustment screw. The plastic part is to restrict the amount of adjustment.

You also need a new pcv hose. That split will allow dirt into the carb or engine oil.

Im in the process of a rebuild so for sure that hose will get replaced. While I have you here, how do I get this carb assembly off the motor?

We should have a sticky in the ezgo gas section that offers service manual downloads to help. Yours is a lot newer than my 96. Yours has the remote airbox and what looks like a more serious "anti-fiddle with it" throttle hookup by the looks of that box on the right of the carb in one photo.

Without being there I recommend taking lots of pics and start taking stuff off. Ultimately the carb is on two long studs. It will slide off once you get the hoses, filter adapter cup, throttle, and choke cables detached.
