99 TXT No power
My TXT was running fine last fall. I could put 4 people on and go with no problem. Now this spring put the same 4 on and it will hardly move. When it starts going its not as fast as last fall and any grade, will slow it down to a stop. I put a new drive belt on and going to adjust the valves this weekend. Did a compression test and one came in at 148 and the other at 120psi. Anything else I should look at?
Thanks, |

Re: 99 TXT No power
I'd bet a valve is out of adjustment being it's that big of a difference toss some new spark plugs in it and while your at it might be worth giving carb a quick cleaning

Re: 99 TXT No power
The valve adjustment could be the issue, with compression that far apart.
But there are oh so many things could be the issue with low power, |
