I understand your problems and wish I could help.
The old rule I have always used when working on things is this.

If it was firing before you installed the S/G then you disconnected something. Most of the time it will be the wire to ignitor.

I am going to explain this so anyone that does not know how to check for spark on the 9hp and 11 hp Robbins engines.
When you are checking for fire do this >

First get yourself a spark tester. Makes it much better when testing for fire.

Remove only one plug wire. Leave the other one on the spark plug. Connect spark plug wire you remove to spark tester.
I will upload a picture of one of the best spark testers . I have used this one for years. I recommend anyone testing spark to use it.

No offense but what exactly does gas to the motor have to do with spark?

No offense taken. That is the basic question the OP refuses to answer. He does not understand how the motor fires/runs. Re-read the beginning. It will not start without fuel. He refuses to answer if the motor is getting fuel.

The first thing I would do is get a new set of plugs. Insert both plugs in to the wires wrap a piece of tye wire around the base of each plug and ground that to the engine. Check for spark. I won't be rude and I don't have time to teach you -- but sparks can short out due to carbon build up -- plus a few other things

Yes it's getting fuel. I pulled the other starter generator out and put the old one back in. It didn't make a difference but I figured I'd start from the beginning. Sorry I was getting upset, I'm a normal Male and I felt like my intelligence was being questioned. Yes I know how a combustion engine works. I'm going to go buy brand new plugs today, I honestly didnt know how sensitive spark plugs are. I'll give that a shot.

I agree with Trig here if you had spark before changing S/G then you have disturbed a connection somewhere. It usually ends up being the coil connector.

BUT with my experience and your statement earlier regarding one spark then nothing.

Guess what, got 1 spark everytime I pushed down the accelerator but only one spark
Check the polarity of your battery, then double check it. A single spark is a symptom of a battery connected the wrong way round.

Well I finally figured out what the hell was wrong. It was a combination of things. The cdi box went bad and in the process of trying to diagnose it the plug for the Ignition Pickup Pulsar Coil the hot wire got pushed part way out of the plug and wasn't making contact. Thanks everyone for the help, sorry if I got a little huffy, the cart pushed me to the edge.
