Default warranty done , so I adjusted the throttle limiter

maybe I went too far. it's showing 25mph GPS on flat asphalt with 2 adults and 1/3 tank of gas.

Not going to lie, I like it! A Lot! but i need to figure out a way to easily limit it when kids and less responsible adults are on it. maybe some kind of clip on the cable.

My understanding is the gears are the weak spot. so, the wife and i will be careful on the hills and with a heavy load. is anybody making some composite or metal gears that are stronger? i'd like a limited slip as well if i got to digging in there.

Gears arent so much the weak spot as over-revving the engine. The faster you go, the higher the engine spins, and the faster it wears and the more susceptible you are to engine failure. Bigger tires and high speed gears are much safer for the motor if you want to go fast.

that seems strange to me, a japanese small engine that has trouble at 4k rpm... but i guess it's built for low-end torque.

what's the weak link in the engine?
