Thanks trig that helped a lot. Finally got governor freed up so I could adjust it does well on acceleration but slows down on top end. Any ideas? Also do you have a link to that service manual? Thamks

Isn't that how they are supposed to work in stock form (hit top speed then slow down a bit)?

That's what all of mine have always done. Don't slow down a lot, but can notice the "peak"

Mine seems to peek out and gets slower and slower. Going through all linkage adjustment and set it up per the o.e. manual.

Mine does not continue to get slower... it hits peak speed, slows down a bit and continues at that speed. And I think that can be adjusted with the governor so it stays at peak speed... I've left mine alone though. It does not continue to get slower.
