2011 TXT not starting every now and then..

Hey guys, every now and then when I get on my cart and step on the pedal, it doesn't want to start. Was hoping someone could give me a clue on where to start. I can be driving around and stop to BS with another camper buddy,, then go to leave hit the gas pedal and nothing. Just started doing it this season at camp.

Get a DVOM and when this cart does this check the voltage on starter post. See if you have battery voltage. Harbor Freight has cheap ones you can buy to do this test.

We had issues with these carts doing this about 2 years after we bought them in 2009 but EZGO never did tell us exactly what the problem was.

We were told to replace the voltage regulator and starter solenoid but I couldn't really tell you if that ever 100 % fixed the problem. I can tell you this was a known issue with these carts.

Check that voltage when it don't crank and maybe we can figure this thing out.

Thanks Trig.. I have a voltmeter at camp and will give that a try..
