Default Clutch Expert Advice Needed

I have a question about my current setup. Back 10 years ago I had my stock G1 and I purchased a Plowman's secondary clutch kit. Nice clutch. But it was designed for the 2 stroke engine that ran both CCW and CW so it has a non preloaded spring with no tangs/tabs.

I have been running that clutch in every engine swapped version of my G1. Here is the current setup, which works well and has not problems:

G1 cart
G2 transaxle
G1 Plowman's secondary clutch & belt
16hp Vanguard engine
Comet 780 primary clutch from CPP

I did buy a 4 stroke G16 secondary clutch from member "Dave in VA" but I don't have the matching helix with the holes in it for the spring tabs. My helix is a G1 version which doesn't have the holes.

Here's my question: Am I leaving anything on the table torque or speed wise by using this clutch vs the proper 4 cycle secondary?

I dug up the old photos from when I installed the clutch in 2012, sorry they were hosted on Photobucket and for some reason the photos have the label? Not sure what's up with that.

I see that Plowman's has a clutch kit for $299 for the G2/G9. I wonder if it's worth switching?

No stock gold spring from the G1. It fully shifts. Works great.

Andy, all of Plowmans springs are tangless. I'm not sure if you could tell the difference between the different springs. I've got a couple of extra springs.
