Exclamation Re: Motor Choice

There are many factors which you need to take into account when choosing an electric motor and/or controller. Depending on your application, vehicle setup and performance requirements, your vehicle will have the potential to create a Max amount of current draw. High current draw in your application is what causes things to fail and burn up. To ensure you have the proper components, I suggest utilizing the "Choosing A Motor/Controller" tool at: http://www.ddmotorsystems.com/MotorSelector.shtml . All motors and controllers sold here are US made and brand new with the highest quality in the industry.

That is I. You caught me. I'll try not to be to biased toward those home grown blue motors with my motor insights. I understand many peoploe are under cost constraints and can't always buy the best but rather the best for their $. D&D Motor Sytems does also have lower cost refurb motors & controllers from time to time so keep that in mind. Ever need my input, just let me know. Later, Mike - D&D Motor Systems

Thats an easy one to answer. We are in the business of mainly making motors for customers who are focused on designing the best and most efficient system for their application. That sometimes means putting in a motor with a little less speed but much less current draw. That means instead of repurchasing batteries in 2 yrs, you may do it in 3.5 yrs. In addition, we may cost a little more up front but the benefit is higher thermal capabilities and less current draw. I know boring stuff but you did ask. Plus with all the ambulance chasers around these days, we must be extremely careful about customer safety and liability issues. Later, Mike
