Default 1998 club car (48 volts)

Hi, I just bought a used 1998 club car for my kids and it is a 48 volt cart I bought some used 10 month old Trojon batteries from a local battery warehouse and they all test good ,the problem is when I plug in my Club Car charger the charger starts off charging at 15 amps and after 14 hours it only drops down to 10 amps and never turns off or fully charge,s the batteries... Any ideas?? thanks, ED

Theres only a few culprits I know that can really cause the problem.

1.) Bad battery. When it gets down to about 10 amps, put a multimeter on the batteries and see if one is a different voltage (while charging). It usually isn't this because the charging system should auto off after 16 hours.

2.) A loose connection in the system causing a voltage loss fooling the computer to think it is not charged. Also, not likely due to the auto off.

3.) Bad On board computer, or "stuck" On board computer. The first thing to try with this problem is disconnect the negative cable from your batteries for about half an hour. Then reconnect it, drive the car around the block, and try agan. That may reset it and make it work again. This is probably your culprit.

Hi, everyboby ! I just bought a 1998 Electric Club Car. I wonder what kind of batteries I should put in it. I put in it 6 (12 volt marine batteries) bran new. The motor works when "plug" direct but is not workink when passing by the solenoid.
