Default new cart looking for info.

Hey everybody,
i just found this site and figured this would be a great place to find out some information and meet some great people. Well my wife suprised me for christmas with a new to me cart. Its a CC 95 model with (6) 4 year old batteries in good shape($400). Thats all i know to his point. My questions is about the motor type and general quality. I have read a few threads about it so i'll give all the info i have.

The gear shifter is the typical black F N R stick. It has one selenoid, no pigtail, and no regen braking. It also has an aluminum frame. The motor has a ton of torque and will climb some seroius hills. Does anybody know anything more about this one? Good to rebuild, lift etc? Sorry for the long message and thanks in advance for the help.

Thanks Scotty,
are you shure it's a 48 volt? i only have 6 batteries so ifigured 36. Is there any way to get more info on the stock motor. Reason being is i want to lift it but i don't want to loose the torque by going with too big of a tire. i plan on using it for hunting and off road mostly so high speed is not as much of a concern but i still want it to pull good. Whats the best way to chech the status os the batteries. they are trojan's. Is the aluminum frame a good or bad thing to have. i can feel i flex. Thanks

Actually they did make some 36v but most 95s were 48v both had 6 batts but a 6v has 3 water holes (cells) and an 8v has 4 Your assessment is correct. Go with a 4 inch lift anf 20" tires .... You won't loose much power and can go most any place the big carts go.
