It's probably gonna be a couple of months before I order the motor & controller.. Still have to get a rollin chassis first, and build a control wiring harness..

I'd offer ya a ride in my "big blocked" E-Z-GO gasser, but it would make ya put your sparky up for sale!!

Got a few more pics of the progress....

First is a pic just before it got hauled over to my bud's welding shop for repairs.. Finally got the steering and front suspension installed in the second pic, waiting on a Jake's 3" spindle lift to finish it up.. Third one is a pic of a sign my girlfriend picked up for me.. Ya think she is giving me a hint!!!

Hope to get the 4 ga welding cable ordered soon so I can start making battery cables.. Also gonna tear in to the rear axle next week, to clean, reseal, and repaint..

I am actually reviving an Ike cart myself.
Kemah area here......
I am curious to know what on board charging system you are going to use?
I have the original charger but even though I do not have the batteries installed yet when I plug the original charger in to the wall there seems to be no power at all.
I am assuming that even if charger is not plugged into cart there should be some type of "humming" noise or signs of power to the plug when inserted to wall socket ?

I ended up putting the "on-board" charger on hold for now.. I had to get a charger if I was gonna save the batteries that came with the cart, so I ended up getting a charger from LVS Sales... It does not require the cart's "on board computer" like the factory charger does, it's a fully automatic 3-stage "smart" charger.. That saves me from having to buy the expensive and troublesome OBC from Club Car, and the price was right for the charger.. This charger is also switchable between 36 or 48 volts, so if I should get an EZGO sparky, I can use the same charger for both carts..

The factory PowerDrive charger requires being plugged into the cart to operate, it's controlled by the OBC installed in the cart.. Chances are if the OBC in your cart was submerged, it's toast.. The power relay in the charger is controlled by the OBC, and is operated by power from the cart's battery pack..

I'm chiming in a little late...didn't see the post. I definately recommend the D-380($400 is the best price you'll find), and a 500 min controller. That motor is BA, simply put speed and torque! My torque doubled that of stock and speed is very impressive! I will buy that motor every time!

BRS, what kind of speed are you getting out of your D-380? With the stock 12.44:1 gears and my Advanced DC Motor that was modified by PQ is only getting me 20mph.

I'm running a solid 26mph with passengers, 27 with the wind at my back..lol. My torque is great for a lifted cart, I've yet to have a problem with this motor. I'm pushing it with a 700amp controller, won't pull wheelies but very fast out of the hole. I understand PQ knows what they are doing...I've heard they can get more out a 380! I'm guessing from your speed you PQ motor is a stock motor winded out.
