After a dusty fall and wet winter hunting season it's time for a major cleanup. What is everyone thoughts on putting dieletric grease on all wire connectors. This cart is built for off road.

Re: cleaning time
I use dielectric grease on all my battery connections to help with corrosion buildup, but I don't use it on any of the other connections ie.... solenoid, motor, or controller.

Re: cleaning time
Put the connections together clean and dry. Then use corossion protection on connections. Anything away from the batteries should not need very much if any at all. Just keep things dry and clean.

Re: cleaning time
Grease attracts dirt. When I was in Desert Storm I did not lube my M16 and I didnt have issues with misfires, and easily wiped away dust, my buddies had a hell of a time becuase they lubed up "to prevent jams". :)
That being said, use the felt battery terminal pads, or a spray on protector that dries. |
