Default 2006 CC Transporter/Carryall Build

I picked up this 2006 CC transporter Fairly cheap, $500 without batteries. I had a set of Batteries that i transferred from another cart. I decided to build it up for my family at our seasonal campground. In the beginning it did not have a roof and had a rear titling bed. I picked up two precedent roofs for free and combined them to make one, which turned out pretty nice and solid. I ordered the front factory strut and made the rear supports out of 1" aluminum. I used the frame from the rear box and made a rear seat and foot platform, and was able to pick up a used bottom cushion that matched for $20. Remaining for the project is making a rear seat back, buying the windshield and installing the Jake's 6" lift and wheelbase extension, which should be on my doorstep tomorrow. Im going to add 22x11-10 tires and wheels, and a fresh coat of paint on the front clip to finish it off. I asked a guy at a local cart place about reprograming the speed setting on the factory curtis 500 amp controller, he said it shouldn't be a problem and is going to charge me $50. I am not sure if that is a good deal or not, but I would like to get rid of the regen and be able to increase the speed. I was just going to send the motor into PQ but i don't know if I'd still have to get the controller reprogrammed in oder to reach higher speeds even with the PQ. I'm not looking to dump a lot of coin into it, but i would like to get near 20 mph if possible. I have kids and don't need to do 25-30, especially in the campground. Anyway, i just thought i would share my project with you guys and feel free to bust my chops.

Looks like you been busy and moreover creative! Like the roof fab! Why would you want to get rid of regen? If it the same controller as mine, [1268], it is tuneable. Really saves the brakes on mine!

I guess I'm just not used to it with my old cart. The controller is curtis 1520-5501. I'm still learning all the tech stuff on these electric carts. Mainly I'm just looking to gain a few mph and I'm sure its programmed to factory speed setting as is.

Actually i just looked it up and i believe that my controller (1520-5501) is a remanufactured 1268. I guess i need to figure out which programmer will work and if there will be any problems. Im not sure which programmer the guy i talked to has.

Thank you!! I was trying to save a few bucks and was surprised how solid and decent it came out. Maybe I will upgrade it in the future.
