Nobody said the cost to get the cart(s) going would be minimal. The minimal costs referenced would be the additional cost to upgrade to a 48v system. Put another way, it will definitely be relatively expensive to restore the cart(s) to stock (or 48V), but it will not cost that much more, if you are already planning to upgrade to stock 36v, to upgrade to 48v instead. |

Re: Aftermarket controller option
As with an enthusiastic forum discussion on any subject, be it cars, carts, or goldfish... it seems the advice has gone further than the original question.
As far as cheaply reviving 2 dead 36v Ezgo series carts go. The minimal need would be an Alltrax SR48300 control - everything else is upgrade not repair. I'm not saying you shouldn't upgrade... I found upgrade carts sell faster than stock carts. I'm just saying higher voltage and bigger motors are not needed, they are just wanted by nearly everybody here And yes, the stock motors can run on 48 volts. Good luck |

Re: Aftermarket controller option
Hey gang! Sorry been out of town for a few weeks. Trying to get going on these carts. Ive talked to a few shops about the Navitas 600 amp controller. They're saying that they will work fine on the stock Series motor and F/R switch. Just upgrade the stock wires to 4 gauge(2 gauge not necessary) from what they're saying. Also upgrade the solenoid. I had mentioned the possibility of upgrading the series motor to a sepix/regen motor and they say it cant be done on an 07 TXT cart? This was Nivel tech for reference. Certainly if I can I would prefer to get better performance. Going with Crown batteries as the local shop here dosen't require a core charge compared to us battery and trojan. At the least I plan on going up to 48v with the stock motor or an upgraded if possible?
