Ezgo golf cart- Electric...how do I find out the year/model?
We are trying to fix an older golf cart and we are unsure of the year/model. How do we find that out and where would we find the wiring diagram?
It looks to be around a 1998-2000 model, but I’m not sure. It has a few less wires on it going to the controller than our other 99 model and it doesn’t have a tow switch. |

Ezgo golf cart- Electric...how do I find out the year/model?
It probably a series or DCS drive system. Is there a MFG code on the tag in the passenger side glove box? If not, it could be under the flap that covers the back batteries.

The plate on the passenger side is missing and there wasn’t anything under the battery flap. Is there any other way to figure out the year?

It should be a series drive if it don't have a TOW/RUN switch on the controller cover.
If your cart is stock. You might find a label on the motor or differential that will put you into the ballpark for the year.  |

If it doesn't have a Tow switch, as stated in Post#1, it is a series drive and the attached schematic ought to be either exactly or very close to how your cart is wired.
EZGO has used the same series drive layout from their introduction of the ITS throttle system in the early/mid 90's until they stopped selling series drive golf carts in the 201x's |
