Default Possible Bad Microswitch in ITS?

I just installed an alltrax controller with a heavy duty solenoid. Switch on, Pedal pressed, the solenoid clicks and the controller stat light blinks green 4 times and then goes solid. BUT the cart goes nowhere...in forward or reverse. I am thinking it might be in the microswitch in the pedal box. This is the cart my son sank in the pond....when I opened the box it was FULL of water so I'm thinking its that switch...is there any way to test it ?

The switch is an on/off function. You can test it with a voltmeter to see 36v in and 36v out with the black test lead on the main battery -. or you can test for continuity (Ω) with the meter set to ohms.
If the solenoid diode is installed backwards it will cause this switch to fail catastrophically.

Scotty, the solenoid wouldn’t click if the pedal micro was bad, right?

Hey you are right. My bad.
Water may have got the best of that ITS unit or the connector inline between the ITS and the control....

You mean that connector between the FNR and controller that has the 4 wires coming from the ITS?...why cant i just put connectors of those to do away with that inline connector?

The diode has the band on the pos+ side of the small terminals on the solenoid...Right?

Yes the connector should be eliminated - Soldering is best. And yes the banded end of the diode goes toward the + wire.

ITS tests are in the stickies

Yes, orange means the controller is seeing full throttle. Connect a laptop and see the throttle progress bar advance when the gas is pressed... otherwise if no = the ITS is wet, dry it out. The ITS is dry, replace it
