Help from you series guys
My nephew just finished his cart. It is a 2001 EZGO Shuttle 6 seater. He has it lifted with 23 inch tall tires, HD FNR switch, 14 Nissan Leaf batteries (58.8 volts), Alltrax SR48500 500amp controller, new 2 guage wires and a D&D 017-010-0002 motor. The cart only does 18 mph on the flats, shouldn't it be faster? It is torguey as hell! Attache are pics of the Alltrax settings.

Re: Help from you series guys
I have this motor on 48v in my industrial cart for about 8 years now. It makes good torque and reaches top speed quickly.... but the speed is not much. That's the nature of the design.
I would change to the torque curve to straight line to 100% at about 30% throttle... From there it tapers off by design. Series motors make the most power at the fewest rpms. |
