Default EX-GO 36v cart, solenoid not activating, solved

Hi all, So after taking apart my PC-954, (mostly)redoing all the wiring from scratch with trial and error, all was well. Solenoid activated, cart moved, got the stock lights/taillights to work, all that jazz. Put the body back on, took it for a slow spin (i need recommendation for a higher torque motor, this is a big cart and holds 6 people) and it just stopped in the middle of the street when backing it up my driveway. Jumped the solenoid from the battery, it clicked. Jumped it over the 2 large posts with my wrench, it moved. Took the jump wire from the battery to the orange wire off the switch, it clicked. All this time i was having these issues, turned out it's this dang micro switch under the go pedal! Keeps intermittently working/not working. Took it off and cleaned it up, it worked for a few tries, it died again. $15 later (including shipping) and i have a new one on the way finally! I know this is the same problem why my brake lights are not activating, that switch is dead also.

I'm not too mad about the wasted time and money, i have 2 solenoids (ended up being free) for when it eventually craps the bed for real.

ANYWAY 1 question i have is, on the go pedal switch, there is 36V coming into it via an orange wire, and 36V going out to the solenoid via a 2nd orange wire, BUT there is also a yellow wire going to the dash that also gets it's 36V once the pedal is depressed... what the hell could that be for? Why would i need a wire to give me 36V power to something in the dash when the pedal is pressed? Would that be stock, or did previous owner(s) do some weird crap? It's really boggling my mind!

I am not familiar with that cart. However, normally there would be 36v coming to the switch from the key and 36v out to Sol.

However, there is a wiring diagram for a marathon cart in the stickies above that does show three wires on that Microswitch. Not sure if that helps or is even relevant,

Going thru my older threads, this ended up being the wire for the hour meter. I was confused because the wiring harness diagram I had said that wire was supposed to be connected to the solenoid.

Let's just say I learned a lot during all of this..but not everything. Like what does the microswitch switch that's under/activated by the parking break lever control? It's never been hooked up by those 2 wires since I got it, and everything seems to work so I haven't spent too much time worrying about it or looking into it other than a few deals ends.
