Ezgo charger plug and receptacle
Wondering if I can switch out a Sb50 plug and receptacle for the D style?

Yes you can but, why? SB50 is a great universal connector.

i just replaced the cable coming from the charger that had an SB50 plug to a new cable with a triangle plug for txt/rxv on a lester summit 2 charger. May be easier to replace the plug with cable all the way back to the charger.

Its for a 91 yr old and he has trouble with the other, thought the D would be easier for him.

The D plug can still be tough to get seated in all the way unless its a little worn in.
May be worth looking into going 'on-board' then could just plug into an outlet and go. |

I didn't know there was such a thing til I googled it. That would be easier, you're right but to expensive for him. Thank you tho.

Most chargers, depending on what you have, could probably be mounted in the cart and hardwired in. Depending on the cart and charger there may be some things that need bypassed or relayed but could be overall simple to do.
Downside might be again, depending on the charger, they may not last forever and dont like water. |
