Question 2014 RXV 36v HD solenoid on 48v...ok?

Hello,
Still learning about golf carts but investigating what kind of controller and inspecting for rust...I pulled the tow/run cover and this is what I see. It might be totally normal but the '36 V/ CONT' looked very suspicious to me. The cart is a 2014 and has the Curtis 235A 48V controller and the battery pack is 48v with brand new batteries.

I bought the cart from a guy who had it about 6 months and he got it from a golf course lease. It runs great, charges great with a 48v charger and no apparent issues...not even any rust anywhere!

However, it is super slow at a top speed of about 12-13mph but runs for hours non-stop well over 20 miles per charge probably closer to 35-40.

My questions are: is this hurting anything? should I leave it? could this be contributing to my speed issues? if I get Bob to reprogram it, then do I have issues?

The part number on the solenoid is a Trombetta 684-3641-012-28

Thanks for all the crazy questions!

That is the right solenoid for that controller.

The controllers prior to mid-2014 had a main coil (solenoid) PWM value of 75% (36 VDC).
That includes controllers 1206AC-5201, 1206AC-5202, 1206AC-5203, and 1206AC-5350.

The controllers post mid-2014 had a main coil (solenoid) PWM value of 100% (48 VDC).
That includes controllers 1206AC-5211, 1206AC-5212, 1206AC-5213, and 1206AC-5360.

ok, so I have no issues and it is perfectly normal from the factory that way?

Is there anything I could/should upgrade if going to larger tires(20.5) and getting the controller reprogrammed for higher speeds?

Thanks again for the quick responses!

If your going to put tires larger then 20.5" you should be thinking about going to a Curtis 350amp controller. Bob won't reprogram a 235amp controller if the tire height is over 20.5".

Thanks again for the quick responses!
