It looks like the bolt on the driver side spring could be broken as the spring should almost be flush with the front of the plates. It looks like the passenger side is fine. Make sure that the bolts on the back brackets that align the springs have not broken causing the spring to slide back. You absolutley need to switch out the long bolts to short grade 8 hardware. I will attach a photo of mine for reference in a few minutes.
