go pedal
I have a 2003 48v DS CC. Curious as to how far down the go pedal should go before the solenoid kicks in and it starts to move. Seems like I have to push pedal half way down before solenoid kicks and it starts to move. Also what should top speed be? GPS says 13MPH. Batteries are 2 yr old Trojans. With a 50.98v pack voltage after charging and setting.

Top speed sounds about right . . is it an DS IQ? . . . if IQ, it can attain about 19mph with Speed Code 4 added to Controller at a cost of about $100 or so at local CC dealer . . . As for GO PEDAL, there are threads on this and it's relationship with the MCOR shaft regarding wear where the two mesh . . This thread may give you a starting point: MCOR and GO Pedal Wear |

Re: go pedal
It is not an IQ just a plain DS. Any easy way to speed it up 3 or 4 MPH? Besides putting in a 36v motor or having this one redone?

Re: go pedal
. . . it is the easiest/cheapest fix and hopefully that is where you will find your problem . . if you find wear at these two parts, jury rig will make it functional or new GO PEDAL and MCOR shaft cost about $30 total for both and are about a 30 minute install . . . good luck! . . .
