96 TXT DCS EZGO No Go
Cart was stopping after about 8 minutes of driving, like a solenoid issue. Replaced solenoid, no go.
Replaced 4g cables with 6g (I know, bad, but all I could find), no go. Replaced ignition, no go. So.. Now, i'm probably going to pay out the nose to replace the controller, right? Help appreciated. |

Re: 96 TXT DCS EZGO No Go
If you can get it to work for a few minutes then it quits and then it works again, I don't think it is a controller. Almost every controller I have seen when they quit, they never work again. There are a lot of other things that can be intermittent.
Start at the top. Battery voltage sitting still and under load please. Does the solenoid click? Reverse buzzer? |

Re: 96 TXT DCS EZGO No Go
Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to BGW. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.
oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!! |

Re: 96 TXT DCS EZGO No Go
I have seen and heard about plenty of controllers that go and then stop and go again later when they cool of are rebooted...(2 different problems)
DCS controllers have a fault, they have no low voltage protection. So if you run the pack low it kills the control. Aftermarket controller does not suffer that way, but make sure you have good batteries before you go any further... |

Re: 96 TXT DCS EZGO No Go
Thanks guys. Bypassing the reed switch did the trick. Now new problem arose. Can't get it to take a charge. Thoughts?
