well finally got the drive clutch installed and am still having the same problems. as a matter of fact the acceleration is a little slower. acts real sluggish.i can put it in maintenance mode and the belt is running at the top on the front and bottom on the rear. i say bottom i don't know how far it is supposed to go down but it looks like it could go a little farther if it would open a little more. only thing i haven't done yet is try it with the old belt. any suggestions where to turn to next.

I still stand by this.

yea it was an aftermarket clutch. the spring just looks smaller in diameter than the original. it came from the ROPS SHOP. it looked like a quality part. now I'm beginning to wonder. can the spring be changed or do i need to scrap the whole thing?

Is it one of the ones with the steel sheaves? As where the oem is aluminum?

I got one of those once. It didn’t even fit correctly so I sent it back to Amazon and put my oem back on. I can’t say how well it would have worked, it was missing a “shoulder” where it butted up against the case on the input shaft so it wouldn’t spin right. I took it back off so I wouldn’t damage the transmission. But I’d never order one of those again

CP241 YOU ARE THE MAN!!! local cart place had to order the OEM driven clutch. it took a couple of weeks for it to come in. i finally got around to installing it and man what a difference. this thing runs like a brand new one and a lot quieter too. thanks for all your help. stay away from the after market stuff especially on this driven clutch. the spring is twice as thick as the aftermarket one. and still using the old belt. now i have a spare one. thanks everyone!
