Re: 2002 Workhorse wheels/tires
You May find the 8" were fitted to soften the ride a bit. But as Stovebolt said, go with 22's on 10" rims and it will be a nice comfortable ride. And yes, again as Stovebolt said, it has the standard factory fitted 4" lift.
A few of us old timers have fitted up to 25" tyres for the smoother ride with aggressive tyres for off road use with just minor modifications. |

Re: 2002 Workhorse wheels/tires
Thanks so much guys! I"ll go with the 22x11-10. I'll also be buying rims. Do they have to be offset, or will standard centered rims be okay? I assume one of the forum sponsor vendors will know this?

Re: 2002 Workhorse wheels/tires
You should be fine with standard rims, but might be worth taking a few measurements and double checking before you buy.

Re: 2002 Workhorse wheels/tires
Most standard rims will have some sort of offset. Most 10s I see are 3x4 or 5

Re: 2002 Workhorse wheels/tires
Stovebolt, I may be suffering from memory loss these days, but I seem to recall using ST spindles on my homemade lift kits due to the raised spindle arms and the steel ST hubs having more offset than the the aluminium TXT hubs. I don't have anything to measure and compare these days as all my carts are in long term storage, but if anyone has both types of hub. Please take some measurements as it would be useful info for others that read this thread.

Re: 2002 Workhorse wheels/tires
Cartmaster, the stock 12" ST hubs (what we call wheels in the states) are offset and will work, not sure he can find some, he has 8s on it now and some 4 bolt wheels (er hubs) are not offset. His question was will he need offset wheels (er hubs )
