Lead Acid Battery power meter recommendations
I have been researching the available power meters for my 48V 2016 EZGo TXT. Most of what I see on the market looks like crap. One example is the DROK 48V digital meter. It looks OK but it has a 3% accuracy over it 63V range. That is an error of 1.8 V. According the lead acid battery tables the difference between full charge and 50’% discharge is approximately 2V (50.4V full charge and 48.4 V at 50% discharge). I’m thinking about foregoing the voltmeter and installing an hour meter to monitor battery use. What have others done to monitor battery capacity?

Re: Lead Acid Battery power meter recommendations
A lot of guys here have this one. https://www.cartsunlimited.net/battery-meters.html
Mine is very accurate compared to my dmm. I have read about people having an hour meter but don’t think it’s very common. |

Re: Lead Acid Battery power meter recommendations
Thanks. I saw that model but dismissed it because it was a two wire system. In order to kill the meter with the key I would need to use a relay which I was trying to avoid. I figured a three wire meter with an internal solid state switch was better. I’ll read up on your suggestion
