EZGO F/R Switch bad?
I have an electric EZGO TXT(Model J302) with upgraded motor. I brought it to the camp and was working fine. But when I would get in every now and then, i would press the gas and nothing would happen then I would press the gas and it was get a "surge" of power and take off. I noticed a burning smell and the cart stopped moving.I found the 12 oclock wire was burnt. I replaced the terminal and it started to work fine in reverse but would not go in forward. I came to buggiesgone wild and read a lot of threads that said to switch the 9 and 3 terminals. So i did that and now both forward and reverse does not work. What does this leave me with to check?

Seriously, the F&R housing (body) is a soft compound so any connection that looks discolored has probably gotten hot enough to damage the internal contact seat. The result of a melted contact seat is decreased contact pressure and ultimately a gap between contacts resulting in a no go situation.
