97 CC Rear end noise

i am positive they have a differeential breakdown in the manual it might be a suppliment to the manual so when you talk to someone ask them that and if its the case just get the suppliment should cost around 20 dollars american..............................

PRACER53 I use a old style hand pump type oil can with a flex spout, its a little slow but much easier than trying to pour with funnel etc and saves lots of oil on ground?
PRE-1898 I always use regular 30 weight motor oil and change it about every 2-3 years. Some use a synthetic oil that seems to work good but of course costs is higher? Some cart owners even use 80-90 gear oil in gas carts that get hard use but unless the manual calls for it ( some do ) I dont like to use it unless differential is starting to get worn and noisy.

Or go to an area retailer and see if they have the unit to pump oil into a lower unit for an outboard from a qt bottle, under 6 bucksfor the one I bought. Screws onto a qt bottle.

Great idea Fishing Dude I havent seen those for sale locally. Lots better than hand pumping 22 oz with my oil can method.

I do have a small hand pump that I used on my old 73 power wagon rear end for draining and filling because that rear end didn't have a cover to take off.

I finally fixed that rear end with new bearings and seals, new nylon bushing and heavy duty springs and shocks. No more clicking in the rear end, now I have to go through the electronic controller and see if I can increase the speed of the motor.
I adjusted the linkage and got a little more speed out of it.

On a 99 you should have a solid shaft motor (no guide-ring) You'll need a "Motor Centering Kit" It consists of washers, springs, and a bushing. It keeps constant pressure on the splines and keeps them from rattling. Very inexpensive and very easy to install.

That's it... But be careful installing it... Don't install the rubber bushing that goes down into the shaft on the motor. If you do, it'll put too much pressure on the outer bearing and the motor will lock up. It's for a different application. Not sure what application, but that's what Club Car has told me.
