You will see a loss at the top end, but you can get it back by adjusting the governor...

We can't help if you can not identify your engine... if you can do anything to a car the least you can do is identify your engine before you start knocking the forum for not helping you fast enough.
A shorter belt will definitely reduce top end speed. Your best bet is put a bigger engine in it. And use a lift and taller wheels to gain speed. |

where can I get the shorter belt. I have the 2005 ezgo txt 292 engine. Climbing up hills with more than 2 people it stops and starts squealing. I did replace the belt factory specs. Where can i get a shorter belt. What specs should I look for.
