Battery Question???
Recently my EzGo TXT cart suddenly stopped working. Took off the seat and found that one of the batteries in the pack had a "melted" terminal causing lose of power & inability to charge, obviously. I am thinking this is an easy fix of just replacing the bad battery in the pack. However, someone told me that if I replace 1 battery I have to replace them ALL !!!! This sounds absolutly crazy to me and makes no sense. However, I thought I would ask the question to you experts to find out if this is the case before I waste money or cause any further issues. Please !!!

Re: Battery Question???
Jrod, Welcome to BGW! Repair it and re-check the other cables, loose connections cause this melting.

Re: Battery Question???
Great information... thank you I will remember for the future. However, in this case I think it may not work. The terminal is half gone!!!! I will take another look but not sure if this will work out for me. But is there any reason why I can't replace just 1 battery in the pack if need be?

Re: Battery Question???
One new battery in the pack will be abused (over charged) until it is quickly boiled down to the level of the old batteries. There is no reason not to do this in your case, if you can not find a used one of similar capacity. Check the water in the new battery often for the first 6 mos.

Re: Battery Question???
Actually I was able to do the repair and it worked perfectly!!!! Thank you!!! It was actually more difficult to find a set screw that was long enough to work surprisingly. A lot of stores had 5/16-18 1/2 but a 1 inch in length is what is needed. Oh and Lock-Tight is a must!!! Another successful advise thread!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH..... Saved me about $100!!!

Re: Battery Question???
Put some protectant, Vaseline, grease > something to keep the air off of it so it won't corrode. You do not want to be taking it on and off for cleaning too often. Good luck!
