Well all was going great today I got my 36v reducer and wired it up and it was making a ticking noise ?? And both wires coming out had juice ? So called the mfg and they are shipping a new one out Monday so no luck hooking up radio or badboy air horn :( so I decided to hook up the led volt meter with the same luck ....wouldn't light up... So needless to say 4 hrs wasted wiring... Ok I'm done complaining lol quick question when wiring the radio black to ground at negative terminal and where I am confused is that the instructions say red is positive and so is yellow? Both have fuses on them already. So at a loss on which to hook up because I tried wiring to last 2 batteries in series to at least hear how it sounds till the new reducer comes in and no luck there either wtheck??

Yellow is the memory (positive always on)

Red is the positive to the fuse box that comes on when you turn the key to ACC

This is if you are installing the radio in a car. Yellow is always hot to keep your presets and clock correct.

In a cart you do not want the memory hooked up to always hot, it will drain the batteries. "Or so they say"

My opinion is... After each ride, and if you have a a charger that will come on by itself to keep the batteries charged, run the yellow to always hot. It cant draw that much can it?

Bottom line, both red and yellow are positive 12v.

Clear as mud?

So should yellow and red be ran both to same positive or wire together to the positive and black to the negative terminal on battery next to it? Some things that should be easy just aren't working out lol I don't plan to leave it this way just until the reducer gets here :)

Red/yellow to the positive terminal on the 1st battery...Black to the negative on the second Battery.

This way you will have 12 volts going to the radio. 6 volts from the 1st and 6 from the second. 6+6=12

Red and yellow can be wired together or separate your choice. But they both need to be connected to the same positive pole on the 1st battery.

Thanks for helping me out I tried that and for some reason no luck? It's a brand new radio so I'm stumped?

Voltage meter has positive negative and one marked C. I ran + to ground (-) the series and + at other end of series and c to ignition but I think the ignition is more than 12v
