I definitely dont have that second tray.... Why did they have to change so much....

This is just a thought, but what about wakeboard tower speakers and mounting them on the rear roof supports and just have an amp for an aux input and hide it in the dash. I believe you can mount those speakers and move them around any way you want.

I thought about that type of speakers as well. But leaving the cart at the campground sometimes, I was worried about anything too easy and tempting to steal. I lock the cart to my RV but I can't lock all the little parts. So I just try not to make things easy to get at. I made sure I got a head unit with detachable face that I can remove and the speakers are screwed in. They can be removed but not very quick and easy. Also, I think speakers mounted to the roof supports could be in the way of either the front or back passengers given that I'm 6'4" and need plenty of head room.

Saltlife, That is very true, they would be exposed for everyone to see. I do not have a back seat because I need room for my golf clubs when I do rarely take it to the course so there wouldnt be any conflict there.

Not sure if you are interested or not but I have seen a couple of different rear seat models, not necessarily on Precedents, where the rear seat is convertible to a bag holder. Typically, the seat bottom flips up and has the bag straps on it, and the bottom of the bags sit on the foot platform. This would give you a rear seat and would create some space in the bagwell that you need to leave open for now. I have also seen one where there is an upright off the back of the rear seat foot platform and the upright has bag strap holders on either side of it. I believe the latter one is more of an add-on for existing rear seats.

If you go to my profile I have a 8" subwoofer in bag well. A 10" wont fit. Under sub is two sealed batteries for power. Radio is in center dash compartment. I have speakers mounted on rear top support post between the front and rear seat. Sound is great just can not get rid of noise in radio but is fine with ipod. Good luck!

I have the stereo mounted in the dash and it is similar to the one that Salt Life has only mine has a cover. It was pretty cheap, but works great. I have an 8 inch amplified bazooka tube sub mounted underneath above the rear end. It was a tight fit, but works great. I also have bazooka tubies with speakers on both ends mounted on the roof frame and they sound GREAT! As far as head room they are mounted on the outside, but still under the roof so head room is not an issue.

I used my bagwell for my aux battery and I got the biggest deep cycle battery I could find. I can run it for a week or 2 without charging it and that is with quite a bit of use during the summer.

Good luck with your stereo build!

Awsome looking setup rinman. Do y'all think the 35ah handicap scooter battery would be enough battery for the 2 6.5" wakeboard tower speakers with an amp?
