One more thing, I am new to all this golf cart stuff so I might need to return to the sight with installation help.

The electrical installation is pretty much plug-n-play.
Plug the existing plugs into the PDS to DCX adapter and then plug it into the controller.
The high current cables and control wires is just moving them from where they are attached on the old controller and solenoid to the designated places on the new controller and solenoid. The physical layout might be a little different, but the connections are the same electrically.


It is easier to mount the new controller on the heatsink when it is out of the cart.
The heatsink is held in by 4 bolts coming up through the bottom plate and some the threads are exposed after they pass through the heatsink mounting extrusion. Squirt penetrating oil on those threads and let them soak for a while before trying to take them out.

If there is a thermal pad stuck on the heatsink under the controller, remove it and clean the adhesive off the surface. Use a thermal compound or grease to enhance the thermal coupling of the controller and heatsink.

Here is what a DCX400 looks like when installed.
