Default Removing back rest from 99 ez go

So i bought a new seat cover to replace my old one, and i go outside to put it one, and lo and behold, i have to way to get the back pad off. It looks like it's attached with 4 rivets and i have no clue how to get them off. Any help?

Fwiw, the bench comes off just fine

they should be push rivets
push center all the way through with a small nail / screw driver

Push them through the back rest padded side and they should just pop out the back end u mean? Seems like that would be pretty tough wouldn't it? Maybe i'm confused

correct me if I'm wrong but I think those are 4 screws holding the cushion in place.

Just took 3 of those apart (2, 02s and 97 mdls) and they all had hex head screws, can't remember the size off hand though.

Wow, maybe they were hex screws...they were so beat up looking and stripped that i thought they must be rivets. I'll check again tomorrow. Thanks

If they're just stripped out screws, try and bite into their edges with a pair of vice-grips. Failing that, I've had good luck with these:
